I work in metal-based craft where material, craftsmanship, and plant forms come together in objects and jewellery.
I use silver and other metals to give form to what I see in nature. In my work, plants often carry stories about human relationships, personalities and social structures. For me, both roadside weeds and garden plants are equally interesting. They become jewellery and other objects in which the craft carries the stories forward.
The forms are based on real plants, but I rework and adapt them to function in metal and in the constructions I build. By combining several individual plant elements, I create objects and pieces of jewellery where each part contributes to the whole.
I am based in Skärhamn on Tjörn and have been working with metalbased crafts since 1994. My work has been shown in exhibitions throughout Sweden and I am represented by Konsthantverkarna and Nutida Svenskt Silver in Stockholm.
